Nationals 2024
The United States National Doubles 2024 Championship was provided in Philadelphia over the weekend of March 1, 2 and 3rd and it was a great time. There were close to 160 participants and about 30 represented Baltimore and Baltimore had some strong showings. As a matter of fact this year was the largest number of teams in the event history. It was fantastic to see the continued growth of Doubles Squash as COVID had a negative effect on squash – so this tournaments results is very positive and shows Squash is coming back very strong – yea yea yea.
We from Maryland thank the team in Philadelphia that made this incredible event so successful and the following individuals went above and beyond; Shane Coleman, Molly Pierce, David Rosen and Gina Stoker. They worked tirelessly leading up to the event and throughout the weekend to ensure its success. A big thank you also needs to go out to the host facilities; The Cynwyd Club, The Merion Cricket Club, The Philadelphia Country Club, The Philadelphia Cricket Club and The Germantown Cricket Club for without them and their hardworking Pro’s and staff the event would not have been what it was – so thank you all so much and we are blessed to have you all lead us forward and open your wonderful clubs to we players.
