Arizona Rim-Rim
A group of dear friends went to and climbed the Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon. It is a great hiking experience and depending on the route is about 25 miles with w high elevation of about 8,250 feet and minimum elevation of about 350. In one day you will descend about 5,500 and ascend about 6,000 depending on which way you go and there are a few trails. As one starts they will be close to 8,250 the first day (depending on the side you start from) and descends about 5,500 feet to about 3,000 feet and one either camps or stays at the Phantom or Bright Angle Campground or Cottonwood Campground. One can river raft if desired from a few spots. When climbing up one will ascend about 4,500 back close to 8,000. One should be in good shape but the trail is moderate technical and if in shape one can hike the rim to rim in 12-15 hours but most spend the night. There is the Bright Angle trail named after a donkey and a book was written about the donkey called “Brighty of the Grand Canyon” and it was a great read as a child. Ok here are some photos below from their hike
Ok great job ladies and gents and wish I could have joined you and great hotel with great pool nice
