These posts take you to the most historical and or cultural places.  As an example the Viking river cruise took us from St. Petersburg to Moscow and along the way we visited and toured and learned about the most fascinating mueseums and places. Another trip was the SILK road a PHD like relegious tour of the most significant towns along the SILK road from: Kashgar China to Kazahkastan to Kyrgyzstan then Uzbekistan.
