We did a great trip to Uruguay but started that biking adventure in Buenos Aires in 2003. IN Buenos Aires we stayed at the incredible “Alvear Palace Hotel” a majestic hotel located in the historic part of Buenos Aires called the Recolcet district and the  Historic and world famous Alvear palace Hotel was really a palace with incredible dinning, rooms, staff photos below 

 

 

From the hotel we would tour the cities amazing places and their theater was amazing below 

 

 

The town had incredible churches below 

We walked though incredible parks below 

We visited the famous Recolet graveyard with many famous people there 

   

We also visited art galleries below

   

On one of our walks we passed a military Parade on horses below

And we walked past the Presidential home below 

So we had a great pre-trip in Buenos Aires and the “Alvear Palace Hotel” is awesome and I recommend it to the max. We left on a ferry that took us to Colonia De Sacramento Uruguay and that started our cultural and bike trip in Uruguay.
