Lt. Col. Raeleigh Travers about 1622 died about 1670 Lancaster County Virginia and father to Judge William Travers

Judge William Travers 1640-1701 Gentleman and Merchant and Elizabeth Chapline (Elizabeth was the daughter of William and Mary Hooper) of Hoopers Island. They had many children: Elizabeth Caplin,    Matthew Travers, Thomas Travers, William Travers, Sarah Nutter, Mary Travers,

Kids: Oliver Holmes Travers, Frank Hooper Travers, Bettie Travers Herdon Calhoun Travers. owned the plantation Porto Bello below located in St. Mary’s City and it was named after Porto Bello in England where they did trading and Porto Bello got bombed in the War of 1812 and it is awesome 

Jeremiah Thomas Travers 1821-1885 – and Sarah Navey 1843).  Jeremiah owned Portobello (Above) the Plantation in Southern Maryland across from St. Mary’s (father of Henry Cay )Buried in Green Mount Cemetary Baltimroe (Father of Henry Clay Travers ) 

 

Henry Clay Travers 1847 -1909 and Mary Rachel Wall, were the parents of Oliver Travers Sr (my grand father) son of Jeremiah (Woodlawn cemetery)
